The Tech Isn't the Problem.

AI-assisted tools, field technology, and the systems that make the Consortium's work scalable. We build things that hold up when they meet real people in real conditions — not just in demos.

Chloe Chen

Director of Innovations

Chloe Chen

Chloe Chen came to the Consortium from a product development background — three years building AI-assisted tools for healthcare workflow optimization, then two years doing field audits of what actually got used and why. That second job shaped how she works: the field is where assumptions die, and the faster you get there, the less time you waste on tools built for a user that doesn't exist.

At SNI, her focus is practical AI deployment in workforce contexts — what works in a maintenance bay at 6am, with cold hands and a four-hour sleep, is not what works in a conference room demo. She designs for the first scenario.

“The tech isn't the problem — our prompt architecture is.”

What SNI Builds

  • AI-assisted field tools for workforce and technical contexts
  • Prompt architecture and AI interaction design
  • Field audits — what gets used, how, and why
  • Technology integration for curriculum and training delivery
  • Badge infrastructure — Foundations / Practitioner / Architect credential tracks

FlyForward AI Field Assistant

Build Log

Full Log →

SNI is developing an AI-assisted field tool for FlyForward maintenance personnel — a mobile-first assistant designed for use during hands-on equipment inspection and procedure execution. The build log is public. We document what we tried, what failed, what we changed, and why.

For Fellows

The Badge Ladder

SNI Fellows work toward a three-level credential track tied to practical AI tool development and deployment competency. The tracks are not self-paced progress bars — they are evaluated against actual work outputs reviewed by SNI staff.

Fellows with Architect-level badges have built, audited, and deployed AI-assisted tools in real field conditions. That means something different from a certificate of completion.

Fellows Program — Innovations Track →

Level 1

Foundations

AI literacy, prompt design fundamentals, tool evaluation frameworks. Gated — Fellows access after orientation.

Level 2

Practitioner

Deployed at least one AI-assisted tool in a supervised field context. Documented prompt architecture. Peer review passed.

Level 3

Architect

Designed, deployed, audited, and iterated on a complete AI-assisted tool. Field validation complete. SNI staff endorsement required.
